1.1. Concept

SophiaFramework is an object-oriented C++ library, GUI framework, and WSDL/SOAP/XML middleware for BREW. It was created in order to make application development easy on the BREW platform developed by Qualcomm Incorporated.

SophiaFramework consists of three layers: GUI, Utilities, and C++ Wrappers for BREW APIs.

GUI: GUI framework automates event handling and drawing procedures. Classes for UI components such as windows, buttons, and text boxes are also provided.
Utilities: Versatile classes for string, collection and stream operations, utility classes to process TCP/UDP/SSL, POP3/SMTP and WSDL/SOAP/XML communication, etc.
C++ Wrappers for BREW APIs: BREW interfaces written in C, wrapped with C++. Utility classes can be used directly with BREW interfaces.
